MEET THE TEAM

Anna spent the first 30 years of her career working for large packaging organisations in various sales and business development roles.  It was in her last role as sales manager for a waste collection manufacturer that Anna’s passion for waste minimisation was born.  Working closely with Auckland Council and the companies that manage Auckland’s waste Anna developed an understanding of the damaging impacts our current consumer throw away attitudes are having on the environment we live in.

Not being one to sit on her hands Anna looked for opportunities where through her drive and passion she could make a difference.

Anna developed the guiding principles she calls the 3R’s. Remove, Revive and Reuse.  One of these principles is used in every business transaction.

“If everything we do has an element of Removing, Reviving or Reusing then my goal to revive and reuse as many beds and mattresses as possible will immediately make a difference to the community and our precious environment.”

Anna is quick to point out that 1 mattress dumped into landfill occupies a space of approximately 1 cubic meter.  Currently 300,000 mattresses and bases go into landfill in New Zealand every year.  This is equivalent of twenty-five 20-foot shipping containers filled with these units every single day.

I love helping our community  In these challenging inflationary times I understand and accept that cost of living has affected many households. Items like beds and mattress are expensive.

We often donate beds and mattresses to those who reach out.

Watching Anna’s business grow from the side line James worked as a product manager for a global software development company developing applications for the paper and packaging industry.  For Anna’s business to continue to grow and scale it was clear she needed help to make this happen.  James now provides the business with the day-to-day general management and administrative support the business needs.
